SciTex Taxi PCI Card

I got a Quicksilver a few years back that had a couple of TAXI PCI cards in it and I could never find much info on them, other than that they were used to interface with early digital cameras. I had the cards up on eBay for quite a while and someone finally bought one of them. I asked him what he knew about these cards and here's what he said:

The TAXI interface was used by a few different makers of very expensive cameras used in scientific research. There are versions used in a wide range of research equipment like specialized x-ray imaging systems, large telescopes, and DNA sequencers. As far as I know they are all in vacuum sealed enclosures with cooling systems that run them at -20 degrees Celsius or lower.

The card interfaces with the controller/processor box that manages the camera and it's cooling system. This guy did a teardown of the system I have, including the camera:
