Quick Disk II 13/16 Sector Question

I recently came across the 13 sector ROMs for a Disk II Controller Card and thought I'd give them a try. But before I do, I wanted to know if a 13 and 16 sector card can peacefully coexist on the same computer? Or would I need to designate a separate machine? (not my preferred solution since there's not as much out there in the way of 13 sector software)

Obviously, the 13 sector ROMs would be on different a card than the 16 sectors and in different slots. So I think it should work? But I want to be sure before I risk frying something.

Also, would there be any compatibility issues with later Apple IIs? I figure it should be fine on an Apple ][, or ][ Plus, but what about the //e or //e Enhanced? or even a IIgs?

In any case, any help or advice would be appreciated.

Not a 100 % sure but as far as i know, 16 sector unit was a rom upgrade over the 13 one, but the drive remained the same.

Probably very few 13 sector drives are still available without the upgrade, not really an issue as also very few programs are 13 sectors compliant anyway.

So having both drives on the same unit are not really a problem.
