PRAM Restorer for System 7 on Mini vMac / PCE

I maintain the collection of HyperCard stacks on archive.org (I don't work for archive.org - I just maintain the HyperCard collection). One slightly annoying thing about the online emulator (James Friend's port of the PCE emulator to JavaScript) is that it has a bug where the PRAM values are not loaded correctly, setting the default volume to zero.

I'm currently investigating a proper fix to this (loading in the correct PRAM values through an external file), but I was wondering if a "bodge-style" fix could be applied using something like the PRAM Auto Restorer application? I've tried running this under System 6, System 7.0.1 and System 7.5.3 in Mini vMac but it always fails to run with a " 'Finder' - unimplemented trap" error (and the PCEjs emulator does the same).

I'm wondering if anyone knows why this error is occurring (perhaps the PRAM Auto Restorer only works on physical hardware, not an emulator? - although it seems to open in SheepShaver), and if there's a way round it? The only thing I care about is setting the volume to a non-zero level upon startup, so perhaps I'm overthinking this and there's an easier solution?
