Platinum ProFile?

Profiles took their own card. Had to be matched (hard coded) to the size of the HD. They were not SCSI as far as I know. Siders were not SCSI. they were SASI. Not sure what you would call the Profiles interface.

Not used on the IIc smart port.

If you look in the the second picture. From the back, you can see the top half does not match in color the half of the plastic case. Which leads me to beleive that it is not a proto type. More like some painted and re did the top of the case.

As Mac128 says, the badge is definitely strange. No brown background and the lettering reads "Apple Computer" rather than "Profile".

Twilight_Rodent observes that the lower and upper case do not match. But the upper case doesn't look like a paint job. Are there any other badges reading "Apple Computer" on Apple II era kit -- SilenType, other printers, Apple II graphics tablet?

* Edited for grammar

is it just me or does the "Apple Computer" on the platinum one look like a sticker?

iirc apple didn't get into stickers until much later...
