Nice Retro Un-boxing of 128K On eBay

'Twas very nice. I did notice what looked like a bit of yellowing on the front of the case compared to the rest of it. Is that the case or is that how it normally looked? I would have assumed that even a slight difference in color would not have been tolerated by Steve even back then.

I don't like the fact that the seller considers this one "special" (although, mind you, a Mac in this condition with all of its original documents intact, is) just because of the signatures on the rear case. All compacts had that feature up until the SE. Even some of the modular Macs had that as well.

The rear case bucket is ether not original to that computer or it has been cleaned and they have not touched the front of the unit. It is highly possible that the computer was upgraded and has recently been downgraded again prior to sale. Many original 128s were upgraded later to Macintosh Plus status with the new rear case section.
