New IIsi problem - won't power up

No sooner did I fix the death chime, now I have another problem with my IIsi.

It was working great, I shut it down, and when I went to power it up a couple minutes later nothing happened. When I push the power button on the back of the machine there is no sign of life - no sound, no click, anything. I have tried my other known-good PSU with the same result. Both PSUs are freshly recapped and both confirmed working as of last week, so I believe I can rule out a PSU issue.

Does anyone know how the power circuit on the logic board works? The PSU doesn't have a power switch, so I believe it relies from a signal from the logic board when the power button (or keyboard power switch) is pressed. What could be going on that wouldn't allow the PSU to switch on at all?

Edit: after sitting for 20 minutes it now works again. Of course this is a good thing, but I still think there must be some sort of intermittent problem that will likely come up again.
