mount disk on pico-mac

Pico-mac is an interesting project. I want to make it more realistic: after ejecting the disk in the system and manually replacing the SD card, it can automatically mount the disk (or trigger the loading by GPIO switch), just like changing the disk on a real mac 128k. I am not familiar with mac simulator. I would like to ask where is the code or function to load the disk? Do you have any suggestions? Thanks!

Ron’s Computer Video is selling a custom board, based on the Pico Micro Mac. Assembled, less the Raspberry Pi Pico for $10 plus shipping. You can also buy the completed assembly with the Pico soldered and programmed for $20 plus shipping https://jcm-1.com/product/picomicromac/

Now that Raspberry Pi has started shipping the Pico 2 for $5.00, that incorporates twice the RAM and twice the flash storage at 4 MB, it seems this would be a good fit for an enhanced Mac.

I ordered the $10 version from the link above, but will attach my Pico using a female header in hopes of upgrading to a Pico 2 In the future.

Having fun with the Pico Micro Mac. I connected the Pico to the board using a 5 inch IDE cable - works fine.

I ordered one too - sounds interesting.

It should be interesting to see if the RP2040 clones work with it too. I have the Pico, Pico W, and some Chinese clones that have 16MB flash storage.

I also found this interesting board:

Basically it’s a RP2040 in a Raspberry Pi Zero form factor with DVI output via a mini HDMI connector.

I’m not sure if it would work with the Pico Mac project since it’s probably wired up differently.

Now to find my Picos and RP2040 clones before Pico Micro Mac arrives - I know they’re in my home office somewhere.
