More 7100 fun

So grabbed 4 7100 boards online hoping to make a few good ones. Nope, one board works, rest turn on but no chime or anything else. Processors do not looked cracked or anything. Any idea? Or just recycle them?

Recapped and rethermal pasted the working one and have it back in a machine now.

I'd suggest holding on to them. The way things are going with remix boards in terms of complexity, the 7100 will almost certainly become a target within the next ten years. So proprietary 7100 silicon will go up in value monetarily and preservation status. NuBus PPCs are a short lived, interesting generation in Mac development.

Yes, hold on to them or pass them on to somebody! As said, they are fairly unique. I recently repaired two 7100 boards with that symptom that turned out to be just bad vias/traces. Not difficult. It just takes some time.
