Mac SE Video Issue - Trying to boot?

Hello everyone,

I have a Macintosh SE that I was going to put up for sale on craigslist cheap or free since it seems to have an issue. When turned on the hard drive light blinks and you can hear it trying to boot. A Happy Mac will display in the middle, but there is gibberish all around it.

I guess something needs toe be replaced or repaired with the machine. Anyway I was just curious what was wrong. Photo is linked below.

Could be any of several things: bad/poorly seated ram, leaky capacitors, malevolent gnomes...

Alright thanks! Then I'm going to post it for a buck on Craigslist and see if anybody takes it. Of course it's free for any member here that wants to get it from NJ.
