Mac SE Sad Mac Error Codes?

Hello everyone, I recently acquired a Mac SE that is in very good condition and was working before arriving to me. I get the error code 00000002 over 0000ffff when I try to start it up with no sound but I can’t determine exactly what this error means. The logic board is in very good condition and no damage has been done by the PRAM battery. I have cleaned, reseated and rearranged ram chips with the same error code occurring. I used a multimeter to check continuity between traces from the ram slots and everything checks good without any signs of bad solder joints. I took ram from another working Mac and still the same error code. Does anyone have any ideas or suggestions that I might try? I have not been able to find any other suggestions to run on and any help would be appreciated. Thank you

Today I resoldered each pin on ram slots a and b with no luck, is there a way to test the ram slots where they lock in? Each pin looks straight and clean and when the cards are seated it feels tight but still nothing. Is there anything that I might be overlooking in this area or further test procedures I might could try?

Do you have another SE (or access to one)? If so, I'd try swapping the ROM chips. Even though they are mask (read only) ROMs, I have had a couple of SEs where one of the ROM chips was bad - causing the death chime. Not sure that's your issue, but it's worth eliminating.

That repeating pattern thing you've got going on there doesn't look right at all. There should just be one sad mac in the middle of the screen, and one error code. I've been trying to work out what could happen to make that appear like that—bits of memory are either being duplicated on the way in or out—but I haven't been able to I'm afraid.

Yes the multiple screen thing has been occurring ever since I first tried starting up the machine before working on it. Still no luck but I’m working on it now. I do not have another se and was hoping to get this one going, I have a working Mac plus and Mac classic to use for troubleshooting but not another se. I have not touched the rom chips but may try to reseat them next. I just checked the voltage supply measurements and everything’s within spec. I really appreciate everyone’s help on here and I’m hoping I can figure this thing out soon

If you have a working plus and classic, you can swap the ram into the SE. Perhaps your ram in the SE is defect.

I’d like to thank everyone for there help and today the SE finally booted up!!!!! I have not touched it since I last posted and decided to plug it in to see what happened. The power switch was already on when I plugged it in and to my surprise it made a ding and boom it was working. I’ve turned it on and off multiple times and played a bunch of games for the past hour with no issues. I’m not sure if there is an underlying issue that may reoccur later or if the power surg from the switch being on did something but it works lol does anyone have any ideas of what could be going on? I never reseated the rom and the ram is the same ram that it came with originally so something changed while it’s been sitting.
