Mac Plus questions

I just have a couple of questions about my mac plus (haveing opened it today to decide what needs to be done to restore it)

do the plus's have the same problem with leaking caps on the logic board that SE's have? Is it worth replacing the caps even if they aren't leaking?

also has anyone encountered a problem where the floppy drive just clicks continuously as soon as the power is applied, or has any idear how to fix it?

Also i noticed the flyback is a 157-0042-C (that flyback is from a SE Right?) CR5 also appears to have been replaced, i do know why these where replaced (it was to "stablise" the power supply is what my dad tells me) my question here is where there ever problems with the stability of the power supply's in the plus's?

Also a strange thing i noticed is that the ? dosen't actually flash when i boot it up anymore, it just sits there, the mac will boot if i give it a bootable disk though

Thanks

caps? hmmm, if they look ok ... then they're probably ok.

clicky-floppy? that sounds bad, especially if its a continuous clicky ... the drive must think there is something in there to read. The heads might be dirty. I'd blast some compressed air in there, use a FloppiClene, or just replace it with a new, old one (I had to do the same thing with my Plus -- tons of gunked up dust in there!).

power supply stability on the plus'? from personal experience, I've had mine on continuously for about 6-days with no power or overheating issues.

sad mac/happy mac, and flashing ... i have no idea.

ok, so there's no reason to recap it then, all the caps look good and there's no sign of corrosion

I'll try cleaning the drive later today, the drive dosen't look to bad, but it's hardly been used in 20 years, if i can get a new one i'll replace it

I guess it was just to make the psu last longer, thats all i can think of

I was actually quite suprised how well preserved my plus is, the case is a little yellowed, but outherwise pretty much perfect, the logicboard is perfect and all the analog board needs is some minor resoldering
