Mac Plus External HDD Mounting Desktop 7x Upon Boot

I just acquired a beautiful Rodime 20 Plus External hard drive with an RO652 disk drive, and for the most part, it works wonderfully.

However, it has a strange quirk that neither the acts of reinstalling System 6 nor initializing the drive fix. Whenever I boot up, whether from floppy or hard drive, it seems to mount 7 times. That's to say, it goes through the same drive indicator light sequence 7 times after loading the system, and I end up with 7 "Macintosh HD" icons on my desktop.

Once I drag 6 of them to the trash, it otherwise functions perfectly. I can go on about my business, playing old Mac games for hours on end, with zero issues whatsoever.

It's not exactly a deal-breaker for using the drive with my Mac Plus, but it is annoying. Furthermore, I'm concerned it'll turn into a bigger issue in the future if left unchecked. I know that people talk about the unreliability of Rodime drives.

I know that the drive does not have 7 partitions. I checked, just the one.

Any help would be appreciated. Picture attached to show the 7 mysterious drives on the screen.

OK. I'm leaving this up for anyone who makes the same mistake I made: Somehow, having the SCSI ID on the Rodime set to anything but 0 caused the drive to be mounted 6 more times. Not sure if it's a Rodime quirk or your typical SCSI voodoo, but if you have one of these drives, set yours to 0 unless you want to spawn 7 mirror dimensions in your Mac Plus.
