I just wanted to stop in and introduce myself. I've been lurking in the background just reading the forums. I had registered before, but somehow got sidetracked and never got around to posting. Anyway, that basically about sums it up. Love my macs and I'm always looking for others...

1 2300c

A LaserWriter Select 360, a LaserWriter IInt, a couple of various sized monitors, one set of design speakers, a Newton MP 120, two eMates, and a MP 2100 round it off.

I have been collecting for quite a while. I'd say a good 80% of that was free. A few of them, I bought new. The BlueBerry iMac, the Tangerine iBook, and the two MacBook Pro's I bought new. The 5300c I bought 7 years ago at a used computer store cause my iBook was going in for repair and I didn't have anything else. The 3400c came from eBay about a year ago. The titanium was free along with the other iBook. The 5300cs has a cracked screen. The 2300c was a GoodWill grab for $10. The MainStreet, WallStreet, and Pismo were free. The Lombard I traded an IBM ThinkPad screen for it, so I guess it was free also. The Grape iMac had a bad HD and I found on the curb. The iMac G4 was at a small recycling center that I got for $20 bucks. The Core Duo iMac was going to be thrown out but the college I go to (bad HD). The QS G4 I bought at CompUSA in early 04. The 400MHz G4 I bought at a flea market for $30. The gutted G4 came from a recycling center. The G3 B&W came from a graphic design friend of mine. The gutted B&W G3 came from the recycling center. Everything else, except the MP 120, MP 2100, the 9600, and the Mac XL were stuff that I have picked up from around here either at the recycling center or that was going to be thrown away (schools and private individuals). It's surprising how much I've picked up from this small area.

Sorry about the long post... Almost forgot about the ImageWriters! How could anyone forget those things?!

Thanks! No, actually just trying to save them from being scrapped. Unfortunately you can't save them all and I'm getting run out of my house!

You should set all those mac's up at different tables and make a dinner party sort of thing and have all of them carry on their own conversations with MacinTalk.
