I used a yoyo adapter for mine. It just needs the larger connector tip. Sadly the vast majority of g3 adapters on eBay are the later, smaller type that also work with the g4 laptops. It's super awesome that it has the g3 upgrade!

As Jinnai says, there are two types of yo-yo adapters. The one that'll work on the 1400 has a clear connector on the computer side, as opposed to the later one which has a translucent black connector (here's an example of a compatible one on eBay). All of the PowerBook G3 black bricks that preceded the yo-yo's will work fine too. The white square ones that came with the white iBook G3s will not work, however.

Another discovery. Both IIsis had no bombs installed, and both have the pds to two nubus slot adapters, and one has some sort of processor card installed.

And the grand finale...

There were two SE logic boards laying around that we're not installed in any machine. I was looking at them today, and noticed how one looked funny. It has a gold socketed processor, and had 8 ram slots...

Yup. That's right. A gold socketed SE/30 board that looks nice and usable! Super Rusty floppy port though, but I can find a replacement.

However, would you consider sending me one of your pre-ADB keyboards and mice so the Plus is more sellable?

I can pay you whatever you want for them if/when the Plus sells, or maybe in trade for some SE or SE/30 parts, if you need any? I have a bunch of them, and I kind of want them gone at some point (they're remnants of the SF Haul of 2014).

Sounds like a plan. I know I am in dire need of floppy drive/hard drive brackets plus drives. All of the parts SEs are missing them for some reason.

As of now, I have tons of people interested in keyboards and such. No mice are left, someone yesterday claimed the last one. If they don't go through with it, it wl be yours. LaPorta has mice available pretty cheaply though I know.

Already retrobrited a 128k mouse (Dont worry, I know its supposed to be putty, not platinum) and a platinum plus mouse. Probably going to refurbish and retrobrite some keyboards and sell them to raise some money for the other macs. Cant stand that awful dirty yellow look. I just use straight 3%, no additives. Very gentle compared to other methods.

As on off-the-shelf from Walmart 3 percent liquid? As long as the parts don't float, I've had great success with this method. On my Macintosh SE FDHD, I used 12% cream, wrapped in plastic, under a UV "lizard lamp" for about 16 hours. The results were very even and it didn't bother the Apple logos at all. The only thing you have to be concerned about is even application of the cream (there are a few spots that are slightly more brown but they are extremely hard to spot).

I think I'm going to call this the "low and slow" or "no heat" method.

Ive done that before, with my SE/30 and IIgs. The SE/30 came out decent, only some light streaking on the top (But now that I compare the color, seems like I just never left it on long enough). The IIgs was awful, had splotching all over. Oh, and I did a Classic II that way. Case came out so bad that I sold it for parts. Never will use the plastic method again. Submerging in a low contravention hydrogen peroxide is the best way for best results.

For my mice, ive been putting them in a clear plastic container, and I tape an old clear laundry detergent lid on top, so it keeps everything down by pressing on top of them.

Sure. I have a Plus out in the shed with the others at the moment. Have no idea if it works. If youre serious I can test it. 50% chance it will work. The SE from this worked... so who knows.

Was looking over a few things today and found a little interesting fact about one of the macs. The IIx has a sticker on its lid... Its from Littleton Coin Company! No idea if any of you are coin collectors, but LCC is a pretty famous and well known coin buyer/seller company. And its local in NH.

Your haul is more a historical treasure trove thank anything else! I love finding little odds and ends like that. I once got a binder of 5.25" floppys that contained issues of some guy's diver's monthly newsletter. Not quite the same, but interesting none the less...

You never know what you will find.

I googled the name and it turns out it's a company that seems to make stuff for woodturners. It seems the guy who runs it is named Jon Siegel. Now, idk if thats what it was used for/by (for all I know it could've been used by a company thats been out of business since the 90s) but thats what I think
