"Does not ship to United Kingdom" :(
Sign up to Shipito.com (or similar shipping service).
You have to register but it is free and no CC is required.
You get an address in the US (Oregon & California) and this is very useful.
I use it a couple of times per year.

Apologies for the double-post, wanted to ask: Would this allow for use of, say, a VT320 serial terminal to access the Mac OS X command-line?

if you've got them in stock, one CircuitTalk for a Blue-and-White G3, and another for a QuickSilver '02 G4, how much would that cost with shipping to Michigan?

Hi CircuitBored,

Just wondering if you have these available again please.

I would really like to buy 3 of them for my g4 quicksilver's.

Thank you

Albeit a little delayed (again), I'll be putting in my order from JLCPCB tomorrow and starting to build kits again tout suite once I have all my silicon ducks in a row.

If you haven't already, please let me know if you are interested in a kit so I can tailor my order to meet demand!

Im just wondering does this need any special hardware to use? say if you want to fit one to a machine that did not come with optioned with a modem in the first place, (or a machine that you removed the modem from for giggles years ago *looks at my sawtooth* ) I know the connector on the motherboard is thankfully always present, but I mean stuff like supporting hardware, literally :)

I have been thinking of registering interest in at least 1 for my Sawtooth and 1 for my G3 Blue and white, but I am weary of getting it and realising I need metal brackets or such that are AWOL or never present in the first place :)

If you have a G3 or a Yikes G4 then you don't need any extra hardware besides my kit but the other G4 kits all rely on you having the metal bracket that mounts the modem port.

thats good to know :) quickly reading back through the thread again, if I am reading things correctly you have managed to design things such that you can put both types of connectors and have 1 universal board that can be swapped between both G3 Blue and White's as well as Sawtooth's (Sawteeth? )machines?

if I am reading that correctly, then please put me down for 1 universal board and whatever mini-din dongles/PCB's are required for the G3 blue and white and the Sawtooth, I think Ill probably end up keeping it in the G3 Blue and White, but it will be good to have it compatible with the Sawtooth should I need to do low-level OpenFirmware shenanigans on that, I can just have the mini din port as a flying lead

its not like when Im doing my messing about that my setups are perticularly clean and tidy anyhow :)

@CircuitBored any plans for one for the PowerBook G3 Pismo?

The PowerBook situation is this: CircuitTalk works in the Pismo and the Ti G4s. The issue preventing me from selling kits is one of geometry. The IDC connector on CT doesn't even come close to fitting in either the Pismo or the Ti so I'll have to use some sort of FPC and likely splinter off a separate version just for the PowerBooks. The next problem is the actual mini-DIN port and mounting it. The modem port on the PBs is simply too small for a mini-DIN, which would mean that modifying the chassis becomes part of the install (less than optimal). The other option would be some sort of breakout cable attached to a smaller connector that will fit in the original RJ-11 mounting space. Again, this is less than optimal and would likely require fabricating custom cables, which would lengthen the build time quite a lot.

In short: the PowerBook version is electronically functional but geometrically challenged. I'm working on it but demand for this version is really quite low so it's not a high priority while I'm still working on finalising the desktop version.
