Just found this on ebay and ordered one: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Macintosh-Color-Classic-MYSTIC-LC-575-Logic-Board-COVER-Custom-Made-Apple-/331698918549?hash=item4d3acbd495

Great idea, I'd like the back of mine closed up.

I hope whoever has made this (are they on this forum?) will develop it further - even though it's at the back of the machine, colour matching would be great, and making the 'moulding' a bit more refined, to match the styling of the rest of the CC would be good too.

Not sure if there are any consumer 3d printers that can achieve the level of detail in the embossed port icons (or indeed the texture of the plastic), but it would be pretty rad to have them too.

I'm not sure if they're a member here or not, but I've bought various things from them before and never had any issues.

Bought 2 myself.  Very cool.  I hate that the board can potentially slide out while you're using it if you're not careful :)

You will have to spray paint it to the right color, if possible. You can't print in that color.

A great idea.  I just did a Mystic CC upgrade, it was a lot of effort to cut the LC575 back cover to fit.  On the plus side it didn't cost me anything.

Excellent idea.  I made my own by modifying the 575 back cover.  Chopped and sanded the top off so it fit the CC.

I also treated mine with retrobrite to match the colour of the CC and that worked really well.  Only thing I haven't done is figure a way to attach it properly to the CC.  What did you do, did you drill new holes?

I super glued the right-hand port cover on to create a solid surface on the right, but on the left side, the screw hole is where the grill is.  Not sure of a good way to attach it.

Drill new holes. :)

I bet if you had a fancy drill with a countersink, it'd look real nice.
