I was selling this in the Trading Post too, but nice score. Shouldn't this be in Conquests?

In the conquests--that is, acquisitions--portion of the forum. The place where we talk about what we have recently gotten.

By the way, thee are nice CD units. Good buy.

This is one of the best purchases I ever made, I've had mine from new.

The same drive works on *any* Mac, have installed A/UX from it.

It got me out of trouble with RS/6000, HP-9000, SparcStations, SGI Indy etc.

Mine came with the pair of AppleDesign Powered Speakers which are better than anything else I've seen (or heard) since.

I was so impressed that I bought a job lot of 6 of the mechanisms and have installed them into my 7043-260, HP 725/100, PowerPC 6100 and IIvx.

But this baby is going to be used for my Apple II gs though. I don't have no Mac, I bought it sole for the use with my Apple II gs.

Cool, excellent price too!

These are quite hard to find in Australia.

I'm on the lookout for one of these (as well as the tray-loading variant) if anyone would like to offer theirs for sale?

There are several Apple II (and thus IIgs I assume) SCSI cards on ebay.com.au under Computers/Vintage right now.

We got one with our LCIII brand new back in 1993.

Still have the drive, but its cactus. :( Oh well, got a lot of use out of it over the years. Still have it in my cupboard somewhere. The case now holds an AppleCD 1200i drive, though one of these days I'd like to hunt down another caddy loader to put in it.

I need to find one of these, though one with a tray instead of a caddy. I REALLY hate installing Mac OS 7.5 from floppies, it would be great to have ALL the apps I want AND the OS for my PowerBook 180c.
