G4 PCI no sleep workaround

I have two PCI cards that do not allow my MDD to sleep in MacOS 9- Adaptec USB and Keyspan serial. Going to sleep, computer immediately wakes back up. Is there any known workaround to allow sleep for PCI cards like this?

Remove the PCI cards that don't support Deep Sleep
