Emulation: Mini vMac File Write to dsk from Host?

As far as I'm aware Mini vMac doesn't allow that (and can't, because classic MacOS is very much designed assuming it owns the disk). You'd want to use networking if you have a need for "live" file updates in and out of the emulation.

Thanks for the reply. Mini vMac is a network server for physical Macs that read from a share and I am trying to now get a file on vMac on a regular basis from the host OS (Win 10). The physical Macs would then do a HyperCars thing based on the refreshed data. Basilisk can get host files in this way so I thought Mini vMac could also.
hmmm

I use a netatalk server for that sort of a use case. It shares a folder out to physical and emulated classic Macs through netatalk and also shares the same folder through SMB to my PCs and modern Macs, and changes to files on there show up in both directions. (I can download a .SIT from the garden and it's immediately available to unpack).

Probably just using Basilisk would be the easiest way to get what you're going for though.

I wasn't able to get Basilisk to work over the network, which is how i landed on Mini vMac with LToUDP. Same for Netatalk. Physical Macs have AirTalk boxes attached, working fine. The back-end doesn't matter to me as long as I can get the physical machines to pick up text files over the network, all extra guidance/clues appreciated. 🙂
