details of LCII floppy and hard disk sleds

I'm assembling an LCII system from spare parts, after I repaired a lone LCII motherboard a few weeks ago. I've realized I'm not sure what parts I'm supposed to have for the hard drive and floppy drive sleds. I tried to look for photos of LCII internals, but the ones I found don't really answer my questions.

For the floppy - I assume it's supposed to be an auto-inject floppy? I have a spare auto-inject drive, but I think it's missing some kind of shell or sled that's supposed to surround it. All the springs and moving mechanical parts are exposed on the top, which can't be right. I also have a manual inject floppy that's fully enclosed in a shell, and which fit the LCII plastic mounts. But when the LCII case lid is reinstalled, the floppy opening doesn't quite line up with the floppy drive, and the opening is too narrow for me to push the disk all the way in.

For the hard drive - I have a spare metal sled that I found in my parts box, and I think it's the right one. It snaps into the plastic mounts. But I can't figure out how the hard drive is supposed to be attach to the sled. I don't think I can attach screws on the bottom, because the sled sits all the way down against the inner bottom surface of the case and screw heads would prevent it from fully seating. And I don't think I can attach screws on the sides either, because no matter which way the sled is oriented one of the screw heads will collide with the plastic posts that hold the sled.

TLDR - If you have an LCII close at hand, and could take a couple of photos of how the floppy and hard drives are attached, I'd be grateful.

yes, it should be an auto-inject floppy drive. Mac84 actually made a video on this. It's on an original LC, I think, but they used the same drives from the release of the SE FDHD until 1993

I have an original LC, which is more or less the same as an LC II so I can snap some pictures if they're needed.

well, they changed how the floppy drive mounts worked between the original LC and LC II. The LC II clips have holes for larger screws, so less stress is put on the fragile ABS plastic, compared to the original LC's clips

I've attached photos of the hard drive + sled that's in my LC and also the exterior of the floppy drive.

Thanks for the photos. I haven't had a chance to look at this again yet, sorry. Your hard drive is screwed in from the bottom, which makes sense, but I didn't think there was clearance for the screw heads this way in my LC II. I suspect that the sled I have is actually from a different Mac model. I haven't tried it yet.

For the the floppy, I'm definitely missing a metal shell but @Nixontheknight points out the LC and LC II use different mounts, and I may need something different than the one in the photo. I'll keep an eye out for one, but it's not super important since I normally run with Floppy Emu anyway, and I can still plug in a regular floppy drive temporarily even if it's not mounted to the case.

I've been considering a 3D printer, so perhaps these parts could be good test cases for designing 3D-printable replacements.
