LCII and LC475 boot issue conundrum

I've been having some issues with my LCII booting from the BlueSCSI v1-c. In my testing:

I have:
3 x 50 pin internal scsi ribbon cables
2 x BlueSCSI v1-c with latest firmware (termination jumpers on)
1 x BlueSCSI v2
Samsung Pro Endurance SD card formatted ExFAT with a 7.5.3 image set to SCSI ID 0
LCII and LC475 both with recapped power supply and motherboard
I'm only trying one SCSI device at a time
Both Mac's have a working battery installed

My findings from testing are:

LCII - BlueSCSI v2 (with any of the 3 ribbon cables) - boots successfully
LCII - BlueSCSI v1-c (either) connected with external SCSI cable - boots successfully
LCII - BlueSCSI v1-c (either) (with any of the 3 ribbon cables) - shows floppy icon with flashing question mark (but the other day did boot sometimes - at the time I thought it might depend which ribbon cable I used, but today found that all ribbon cables work reliably with the BlueSCSI v2)
LC 475 - BlueSCSI v2 (with any of the 3 ribbon cables) - boots successfully
LC 475 - BlueSCSI v2 connected with external SCSI cable - gives a crash error code (sorry didn't write it down)
LC 475 - BlueSCSI v1-c (either) connected with external SCSI cable - shows happy Mac icon but doesn't progress beyond that (both LED's on BlueSCSI permanently lit)
LC 475 - BlueSCSI v1-c (with any of the 3 ribbon cables) - shows floppy icon with flashing question mark

Note that I previously had the LC 475 set up with the BlueSCSI v2 internally, and the BlueSCSI v1-c externally, and I think it booted from the internal drive and both drives mounted (when the external drive was set to a different SCSI ID)

My conclusions are:

Presumably all 3 ribbon cables are ok
The BlueSCSI v2 works reliably - perhaps it's a SCSI ID issue with the external booting problem on the LC 475?

I would conclude that both BlueSCSI v1-c are faulty - except that they reliably boot from the external SCSI port on the LC II.

Any ideas?

Thanks

LCII - BlueSCSI v2 connected with external SCSI cable - boots successfully

LC475 - BlueSCSI v2 connected with external SCSI cable - 0000000F 00000002 sad Mac

could be a problem with the image on the V2, if you installed a version that the LC 475 can't boot (it can't boot anything before 7.1), then that outcome would make sense

Thanks for the suggestion - but I'm only using one SD card between the three BlueSCSI's - it has 7.5.3 and is able to boot both the LCII and LC475 just not in every circumstance.

Have you checked the termination ?, that can make a difference but shouldnt really change once it is setup and working unless some other scsi device is added.
