Dead NewerTech Powerpump addon for Q950?

Hello--

Awhile back, there was a seller on ebay selling NIB PowerPump overclock addon cards for the quadra family. I picked one up for my q950, installed it,  messed with it, then put the computer away for a few years after I broke the sd card hard drive.

For those who don't know what this is, its a nubus card and SIMM card addon. The SIMM has two jumper probes--one connects to the 66mhz oscillator and the other to U27 right below it. The SIMM also has a single red wire that runs to the nubus card. The manual says the nubus card HAS to be in the first slot, which is specially designed to sit under the PPC PDS card. The nubus card has a panic button on the rear IO panel, and a fan header for the PPC fan. All this is to allow you to OC both of your processors.

On to the present, after getting my Q950 up and running again, I started messing with the powerpump. First thing I noticed was that it was not applying the OC values. I'd set them in the control panel, do a full power cycle, and the clock speed of both the '040 and my 66mhz PPC PDS card hadn't changed. So, I pulled it all back out, reseated everything, and tried again.

This time, the OC values had been applied ('040 at 40mhz, pds card at 74mhz). However, when I tried to launch the powerpump control panel, it said that it could not find the powerpump card in any of the nubus slots, and the control panel will not launch. Odd...So, I once again reseated everything, pressed the panic / reset button on the back of the card, and.....same problem, but now I lost my OC values.

I tried resetting PRAM, checked connections, tried a different nubus slot, reflowed the 90* header pins (the board flexes real bad in that area), nothin.

Anything else I could try that may revive this card? Would pictures help any?

A future project of mine - have the PowerPump for a Quadra 700 with PPC card, exact same thing - never got it to work. Sorry not much use however will be doing same tests very soon!
