Color Classic cropped screen and boot issues

Finally got a working CCII board for my CC and recapped the analog board for good measure. Recap went smoothly and everything was still working. Monitor had a purple tint before and after so the next step was to adjust the rear pots. I got a little ahead of myself and replaced the battery holder with a CR2032 style, which is where things took a turn for the worse. I wasn't getting video and swapped the board in and out several times to troubleshoot and broke a tantalum capacitor off the bottom. Fast forward a few days, I replaced the capacitor and same issue. I suspected the new battery holder was shorting against nearby traces that are super close to the solder points and re-installed it with strategic kapton tape on the board. Seemed to work more consistently but after a few power cycles, the image is cropped... like cut into 3 sections stacked over each other in the center.

Since you did work on both LB and AB, it's probably best to try and isolate the problem. Do you have the original CC board to test with?

Unfortunately not. I traded the original board along with another dead CC for this board. Strangely enough the screen was normal when I powered it on an hour later. Maybe it's other AB components getting hot?

Did you resolder everything on the analog board? that is a very well known weak point for the CC
