Color classic “stereo” mod

So I am building an LCD Color Classic and therefore completely disassembled the thing. I noticed that the lower grilled portion between the feet of the CC, that is usually considered- looking at many posts here - as merely a useless air aperture, was the original placement for the loudspeaker. And lo and behold, the loudspeaker it was meant for, is the one used by the Quadra 650, the square one. it is of the correct impedance, 16 ohm, and fits as a glove.
what it accounts for is that it is indeed much cleaner to use this location as the placement for the second speaker instead of behind the hard drive - blocking it anyway. Consider also that this location is not so fortunate as there are no grills on that side yielding muffled sound from the “left” speaker - and finding 16 ohm speakers is at least as hard as finding the Quadra speaker, as they were only used in the CC and 630 - the 6200 uses 8ohm.
I thought this could be of interest to whoever wanted to do the Stereo mod to give a second option. I had a shipping destroyed 650,
and reused what I could.

Now, why would Apple drop this and instead bodge the 630 speaker in the CC? Well, that is because right above the speaker placed in the intended place, there’s the floppy drive- incidentally, the speaker’s magnet is right below (like, literally millimeters) the reading heads of the floppy drive and I don’t think this is very healthy for the floppies nor indicative of Apple’s engineering at that time…. Well no it actually is. Apple was In A Bad Place. But, in my case makes little difference, I wanted to use a floppy emu anyway, since I own very few floppies to begin with and they’re reserved for the stock machines.
