My first Mac laptop!

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=220705120224&ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT

Specs:

Mac OS 8.1

166mhz PowerPC Processor

16MB of RAM

2GB Hard Drive

12x CD ROM drive

Floppy Drive

Also comes with TWO batteries, the charger, and original documentation. I wanted a PowerBook for a while (I think they're awesome Macs), but I would have never found this great deal if not for a displeasureable turn of events:

Originally I was biding on this 1400c, which did not have as much equipment - I had originally considered it a good deal due to it's original price of $.99. I bid too early, allowing a VERY aggressive Ebayer to find it, and bid on it enough times for me to go out of budget. Then I found this one, which, ex post facto (pardon the pun), was cheaper than the other one! :pb: :pb: :pb:

Grats on the 1400c. They are good machines.

TBH though, I never was impressed by them. I love PowerPC laptops and one of my all time favorites has to be my 5300c. Sure it's slow, but it lets me write, play a few vintage games and it never sees the internet. I consider this a huge bonus because the internet can be very distracting at times.

That being said the 1400 does have 2 features that I would love to have in my 5300. The first being an internal CD drive. The 2nd being the the removable covers which can be replaced with other neat-o looking ones. Even better is if you have the clear cover. Then you can print out an image that strikes your fancy and using it as the background for your lid. Pure win.
