Anyone ever used "Pooch"?

Yesterday I set up five G4/400s all with nearly identical installs of OS9.2.2 with the hope of being able to use Pooch to make a little cluster to play around with - generating fractals and such. Each machine has a different IP & number, and they can all see eachother in chooser as well as in the Pooch node selector. If I open the Node Scan window it sees all of the machines and properly indicates how much RAM they have available as well as a "Good" status.

However, when I (as indicated by the QuickStart Manual) drag the fractal application onto the Pooch shortcut, select the machines I want to participate, and click "Launch Job" .... it just sits there. It's as if the button said "DerpaDerp" instead. I've tried waiting various amounts of time and watching the activity on the switch and nothing much seems to be happening.

So does anyone out there have any experience with Pooch, or have any idea as to what the heck might be happening? I think it would be mega awesome if I could cluster these macs, and I've decided to go to OS9 before Debian/NetBSD for obvious reasons.
