All I Want For Christmas Is...Macs

Following on from last weekend's Freecycle haul it's been a bumper time for liberations in this corner of Mac-dom. Not only did a 9500 turn up yesterday but a 7300 arrived at 9:00pm and I have a 14" Apple monitor on the way (Saturday) courtesy of Freecycle

The 9500 looks to be in great shape (haven't booted it yet) but ther 7300 needs a hard drive and a CD drive.

Now just got to find three days to get all this stuff up and running again

Freecycle near you is good, the only mac that came up for ages on mine is a classic with 20SC, 2 mice, 2 keyboards and a stylewriter 2 plus software. [] ]'> Which i got.

I'm getting a load of macs soon too. My friends brother is getting rid a bunch a macs, from what I have heard they ran OS 9.... More details soon.

i have a zx81 that i bought for myself and then gave to my wife to wrap up and give to me for xmas!

no macs tho - well except the replacement from apple for the dodgy macbook i bought.

I've just responded to an offer of a Mac on FreeCycle just now. It was listed as "Old Apple Mac PC" with no details, so I've asked what model it is. No doubt some ned will have got there already and will try to install Vista on it...

I'd prefer world peace and an end to 3rd world poverty myself, but since that isn't likely to happen, then I guess my Apple Wireless keyboard will have to do

Apparantly it's a Performa 630. This is the reply I got:

EDIT: I have now realised that the person sending the email may well have done it from a Blackberry or similar web-enabled mobile phone, so spelling and grammar errors may just be due to high-speed texting or something similar...

I may as well go and get it, I doubt whether anyone else in this area would be too bothered and it is a 68k Mac after all. My collection doesn't currently include a 630 so I may be able to accomodate it somewhere...
