AE Vulcan power troubles

Finally had an opportunity to get to recapping my Vulcan. C9 had failed and spilled its guts a little so after a visual inspection I opted not to even try powering it on unrestored until I had replaced the caps.

After replacing, I popped it into my IIgs with the original hard drive installed and checked to see how it was doing. It was not behaving, was not providing stable power so I quickly shut it off and checked my work. An “appleiioz.com” had a fantastic set of pages on the IIgs Vulcan, so I was able to confirm the correct cap values and polarities.

The sound it was making reminded me of an SE/30 that needed a voltage adjustment after a recap. The PSU would continually reset after the 5v rail was out of spec.

Parts list (and a visual check) shows one trim pot on board. However I’m not sure what exactly that’s going to be adjusting.

Anyone have experience with a similar fault, or if this needs an adjustment? In case I’m wrong as to the cause I’ve avoided powering it back up to check the voltage. I’ve only got one IIgs on hand and I’d like to avoid any downstream damage.
