9500 PCI cards

Spotted this 9500 on the 'Bay...

Looks like it has *all* of its PCI slots filled... but with what??

I recognize a few SCSI cards, but what is that huge connector? Also that one with three rows next to the VGA connector?

SCSI, Video processors/cards is what it looks like.

Video capture setup most likely. The dual SCSI cards are kind of odd for that.

Could be a VVS or a ProTools card, or something else that has a breakout box.

A break out box for video I/O? Useless if you don't have the break out box which is not advertised.

That is probably a proprietary connector for an external processing box. One of my AVID systems has an external 3d affects box called a "pizza box" that has a very wide connection for a special cable.

Nice machine.

I think the environment that machine was in production in didn't require USB from that machine. It's a pure old school setup right there.

Yeah. Looks like, from top to bottom, narrow SCSI with HD50 connector (sometimes erroneously called a SCSI-2 connector); Video Vision Studio card with no break-out box, but could be something else; some kind of Apple OEM video card (note the DB15 connector) probably something from iXMicro like a Twin Turbo or Ult. Rez.; can't really tell, but could be an old school 68 pin wide SCSI connector, and finally two U2W LVD SCSI or later cards with the UVHI (sp?) connectors.

But that's an awful lot of SCSI cards.

And the two definite wide SCSI cards (probably Initio UL3Ds or UL2Ds) are both on the same PCI bus. I would split them.
