14943 Vincent 601 PCI Card

Came across a card today that I believe is out of a PowerMac G3. It is labeled with 14943 Vincent 601. What exactly is this card used for?

Breakout box, custom software, and dongles to enable features (early software uses adb dongle(s) same as nubus version I believe).

Not AVID, this was Media 100 before they got purchased later on. Their Nubus capture cards and software were top notch.

Ah sorry, I've seen them listed as from Avid systems, I assumed they were a third party card used with Avid's stuff.

They could have ended up that way, but they didn't start as an AVID card. Most video editing companies were bought out at some point leaving only a few players.

I picked up a lot a few summers ago that included a couple of Sawteeth, a couple UPS units, a whole bunch of Lacie D2s, and a TON of A/V equipment that includes some Vincent cards and some kind of Media100 breakout. I guess it belonged to an ad agency in my state before changing hands because when I sifted through the Lacies that still spin up, there were a whole bunch of project files for ads I remember seeing on TV for local businesses. I'll try to remember to take pictures sometime for you A/V geeks that might recognize some of these relics.
