Archive A/UX hard drive from a IIfx

Hi all - my recently resurrected IIfx came with a 210MB SCSI Hard Drive running A/UX. As suggested by @ilitch64 I'd like to archive the drive in case there's something interesting on there. Can anyone give me advice on How I can do the archiving and what software would i need? I could hook...

    Checkmate Retro LCD Monitor

Here's an interesting Kickstarter product. LCD in a CRT-inspired case with a wide variety of video inputs supporting many different vintage computer and gaming platforms. Unfortunately doesn't seem like there's a Mac DB15 input available yet, but could be added with an expansion pod...

    Online Vintage Gaming?

Seems there are quite a few folks with or building G3 and G4 class gaming machines. Are there any vintage online gaming servers? I remember having a blast playing Quake II online back in the day. Unreal Tournament looks pretty cool too (never played back then). Would be fun to game online...

    9" Compact Completists?

My first love of the Macintosh world is definitely the 9" Compacts. So far I have an SE and a Classic, with eyes towards adding an Original/128k next. Curious how many folks out there are 9" Compact Completists, and to what degree. I think I have the full listing below but please do correct...

I found some extra RAM for my G4 Digital Audio. What's the recommended configuration for the 3 slots for 2 sticks of 128MB and 1 stick of 256MB? Everything tested fine with the 256MB in the center slot. Does order even matter with these machines? Thanks!

    Think this ImageWriter II works?

This is semi-local to me, the listing says "As far as I know is in working order, lights work as shown in pictures." Has the original box too though definitely seen better days. Whats probably this guy is in working order based on the lights shown? I can ask the seller about carriage movement...

    Network Boot Floppy

Hi all, I've had lots of fun getting a little AppleTalk over Ethernet LAN going with my iMac, 6300 and 7500. I want to nuke and install a fresh OS on the 7500, but the CD drive is shot. I was going to pull the CD from the 6300, but Interior plastics are so brittle I already snapped the pull...

Rescued what I thought was a Mac II

Hello 68k Community! New member here. I was in 6th grade when the Mac II came out. My first computer was a Classic 2/40. I looked forward to reading Guy Kawasaki every month. On my high school newspaper we worked on SE's, and the day we bought a IIci was like Christmas. Ah, the good old...
