definitely won't be using a 150 rear assembly for my 140 then, its quite sad as that is all that's wrong with it now, I have largely managed to get everything else i need (except the port door, but who needs that? :D)
that may have had a contributing factor to the death of my poor tangerine, though i still can't figure out if it's caps or a shorted flyback which apparently takes out the Horizontal transistor and the Power rails "apparently" I do get an unstable 24V from the connector the main logic board...
Thankfully i think the only computer that will be a PITA to fix is the PB due to parts scarcity, I heard somewhere you could use a Rev A Flyback in a slot
As a collector of vintage macs on occasion you have a few faulty ones knocking around, Pretty much all of mine are defective, IMac, Classic II and PB140 are all defective in some way,
however my Emac just refuses to die, sure the tube turns red when the Computer shed is cold, but it always...
Yes good point.
i may be in luck as somebody here does have an abundance of PowerBook parts laying around they are willing to sell me, the only problem i have to deal with would be the missing screws, EXTREMELY Tight hinges and of course the disastrous display cable.

Hello folks! long time no see...
I decided to dig my dilapidated excuse of a PowerBook out of storage, and take another look at it again,
of course I could continue trying to get hold of a Rear casing, but I have been pondering the idea of building one with CAD and sharing it with the...
so my Emac likely did not like the harsh British weather it went through and whenever the system is powered on the CRT takes approximately a minute to 2 minutes to light up. it starts off dim and red and then comes up to full brightness and a very sharp image.
i blame the cold as it turns on...
