LCD Connector Pinout or schematic for Powerbook 140/145B/170

Hello!

since i cannot locate a replacement LCD ribbon cable for my powerbook i am going to solder a floppy cable style ribbon cable to the pins on the LCD panel and on the Video board on the powerbook (i have no idea if it has a scientific name or not if people could help out that would be great!), i may connect the board side end to a connector so that removing the LCD assembly isnt too much of a chore. the one issue i have with the Project is that apple never provided pinouts on internal connectors for the 68k books. but if anyone can help provide that would be super!

Take a look at this thread:

I recently went down this road on my 180c and it's 100% possible. I'd use a narrow pitch cable with stranded conductors for maximum life. I used an old 68-pin SCSI cable for instance

As for the pinout, I don't think you really need to fret over it. It's direct one for one. The original ribbon is flat and none of the conductors cross.

thank you!  there is one slight worry i have and that is connecting the ribbon cable (ill use fresh 40 pin stuff from ebay) i don't want to risk frying the LCD or the GPU by connecting things incorrectly that's my only real worry. as for the  thread ill take a look! Thanks again for the help
