Hi, I've got a "packaged new from factory" board replacement for Powerbook 190.
Already tested and it works.
Question: should I recap its electrolytics capacitors before to finally mount it in the PB190?
Does anyone have a checkpoints map for the PB190 logic board? I need some checkpoints near the on-board power module in order to check the expected voltage on the motherboard for a suspected problem on the onboard power module.
Thanks
HEEELP!! I restored my Powerbook 190 cs it 2 years ago, it was working perfectly until yesterday. Only problem was the PRAM battery to be replaced. After I replaced the battery (identical to the original) it worked for a while then stopped to boot. No way to restart. After several trials I...
Hi! Is there anyone who has a high resolution photo of bottom side (not component side) of original StyleWriter logic board? Note: there are 2 version of original SW, I'm looking for version 1 - the one in the pic.
More over, anyone knows if a schematic of such logical board is available...
Hi all!
I'm restoring an original StyleWriter V1.
Using original power supply and a BC-01 cartdrige, after first turn-on, I've tried the 2 auto-test modes: (form-feed+power-on and ready+form-feed+power-on) but it behaves strangely, lot of noise, error light and so on.....
I've opened it...
Hello, just restored a nice 512k.
All electrolitics in the analog board have been recaped.
Every thing works nicely, the only thing I noted is the coil (in the analog board - check image) named L2 that get hot, about 80 °C.
Is this temperature normal or there is something I have to check...
Hi, I just got a mac 512k from '85 in very good conditions. It boots regularly from floppy but no any chime at startup (non keyboard nor mouse).
I decided to recap the analog board and the logic board, but no change, it boots but no chime at all.
Any Ideas?
Thanks a lot.
Normally connecting a Mac Classic (working) logic board to only its Molex connector (so no ram card, no floppy, no disk), it starts with sound and showing the floppy with question mark on the screen.
Now, I'd like to know which components of LB are (not) participating in this phase in order to...
Hi all!
I'm from Italy and I'm trying to recover a mac classic logical board that I've previously recovered after a Max bomb in 2012. After a full recap and a lot of cleaning the mac has come back to life but after a while a put it in a box and kept it until 2017. Than i did a check and it was...
