They weren't, the 128k was manufactured for a far shorter time than the original Macintosh and I've seen many original Macs on ebay, in all that time I've only seen a single one that said "128k" on it.
I have been ... busy... and I cycle through different (and unfortunately expensive) hobbies...
It is true that the original macintosh came first, but that wasn't the question. The question was which is more rare, and the answer to that is the 128k model. It was in production for a far shorter time than the original Macintosh and soon replaced by the 512k. :)
Get the Kensington fully optical mouse in a box on amazon. It comes with an ADB adapter, I have one. No the adapter does not work on other mice, I tried.
I don't have a scanner, unfortunately. Actually I meant to say it's the only 3 button optical adb mouse. I have also heard of some 2 button optical adb mice. I actually own the kensignton mouse in a box, optical. It works, but technically it's cheating because it uses a usb to adb adapter (which...
The first auction was mine.
The second is not mine nor did I win it or even try to win it. There is a thread about that second auction in the compact mac forum.
I sold the grayscale setup because I need money. I am in a very bad situation right now that is about to get worse.
I will probably...
Actually more like $50 with shipping.
It is the ONLY adb-native multi button optical mouse ever made afaik. You occasionally see the ps2 one on sale but the adb one seems quite rare. The one I got is the first one I have ever seen for sale, and I have been constantly watching e-bay and other...
I actually have two mouse pads for it right now, one the normal size, and one an oversize version! The one in the auction will be my third. And the fact that the mouse and pad are both mint... it's like the auction was made for me!

I had a max bid of $131.01. This was NOT about to slip through my fingers [}:)] ]'>
I had discovered, that when I pulled the PRAM battery and booted with a non stock ROM, I never got any artifacts at all and the se/30 just booted normally.
I personally have only seen the "strange artifacts" when using a non stock ROM. And only on a cold boot.
This has been the case with every logic board I have tested to date (except the first socketed one, which displayed the warped checkerboard pattern with the IIfx rom). I have never seen one...
JDW I think your board is just kinky. Tyler the the VROM (not sure about VRAM) is on a big socketed chip on the logic board, and it should have a sticker saying VROM.
Perhaps the VRAM is located in that array of socketed chips that are right under the RAM slots? tt, I agree :)
It is clear to me now, the artifacts you get with the IIfx and IIsi ROM must not all be the same, I don't know what determines it though. There are many different revisions of the ROMs and if you look at different logic boards, they do not use the same chips or brands. Due to these many...
Yes JDW I still will consider selling/trading you a logic board but first I need to actually have an extra logic board to sell/trade :)
Now, I am very confused.
The "strange artifacts" are what I always get with the IIfx ROM on any SE/30 logic board. They are the only artifacts I get with...
JDW, when I talked with you in PM you told me the IIsi rom still produced the strange garbled artifact that I (and everybody else) get with the IIfx rom. Did I misunderstand what you said?
So now, are you saying that with the IIsi rom, the SE/30 boots 100% normally, as if it had the stock ROM...
Normal with a IIfx ROM. I was under the impression the IIsi rom is free of that artifact, but I spoke with JDW and he said he still gets it with the IIsi rom.
If that is the case I don't think a IIsi rom would be any more desirable than a IIfx rom, other than that it's rare.
One thing I found...
