What do the internals look like of the LC without the slot? Same as an LC or LCII? All my LCII's and later have a different fan carrier and it is in a slightly different position. I can swap parts around from all my pizza box models except the original LC. I don't think we ever got an LCII's...
I am doing a bit of modification to the inside of my Color Classic trying to fit a SSD solution. I need a move things around a little and I need a cable that can extend a 50 pin internal SCSI ribbon cable.
Any ideas?
I found this document with a little * that sort of answers my own question.

"* The 68040 versions of the Macintosh LC 5xx and Performa 5xx series do not recognize the Apple IIe Card when there is a communication card occupying the...
I have read some IIe card documentation that suggests that AppleTalk will work from IIe mode over localtalk or ethernet and given that the only machine that is capable of actually having ethernet (comm-slot) and a IIe card (LC-PDS) is the LC575 then I have assumed it should work. The LC630 can't...
I have finally gotten around to putting a IIe card into my LC575. The second I did this my LC575 refuses to switch to ethernet via the comms slot ethernet card. I get an error stating that due to an unknown error the machine is switching back to Localtalk. The AppleTalk control panel sees the...
OK, now the weirdness is weirder. 2x MacPluses,
-Plus No. 1 when you power up trips the earth leakage safety switches in my house after about 30 seconds so I won't power it up.
-Plus No. 2 powers up and continually tries to eject a disk from the internal floppy, it is not the drive as I have...
I have a very weird issue with my MacPlus, it hangs at the "Welcome to Macintosh" screen regardless if I boot off the internal floppy, external floppy or a HD20 drive. I even swapped the logicboard with another MacPlus and it still freezes.
Any ideas?
What is the fastest all-in-one that I can install an Ethernet card and IIe compatibility card in? I think it an LC575 but just wanted to be sure before I start acquiring the bits. I currently have a Color Classic, which can only use an ethernet or IIe card, and a 5500 that doesn't have an LC PDS...
