I still have my original //c. I'll see if I can put together a couple of hundred words on what i did on it, how it influenced my career, and what I do with it today.
Retro Compute!
As it happens, I have a USB MMC reader and I currently use it on my Win2K VM to transfer the images off the card. I'll give your script a go connecting over the serial port.
Thankyou.
I've got one that I believe has MOS8 extensions as well as early Windows (98?) drivers. The "grand plan" was to use it to read MMC cards from my QT200 cameras.
A/L Booked, dusting off the passport, renewing my ETSA. Now, what hardware could I pack that will survive the the 30,000km+ round trip? Maybe a DS CAT with A2+ cart? Mmmmmmm........
Greetings. I've just acquired this "Open Apple" pin badge, and as you'd expect searching "Open" and "Apple" in any combination and context is not giving me viable links, and an image search yields naught. I'm hoping the collective brains trust might recall this pin, and be able to reveal it's...
I used to use iMovie (OS9 and OSX) to do simple capture of Beta and VHS tapes via my ADVC-100 and do the editing in FCP3 on my QS2002 2x1G, originally in OS9.22, then later in OSX. After I upgraded my G4 CPUs with the Sonnet 1.8G Duet I had to run predominantly in OSX as the dual 1.8s were not...

Just recently used my new FloppyEmu to boot my 512K with HD20 support. One of the two HD20s with cables worked, and I'm yet to test the third as it needs a data cable, but now I know where I can "borrow" one from.
I'm using an OWC 60GB SATA SSD in my QS2002 as the OWC drives onboard SandForce processor handles TRIM support.

When I did have a SATA/PATA adapter on it 9.2.2 recognised the drive, but the SATA controller card I've got it...
I found the easiest way to access my QT100/150 cameras is on my old Acer Aspire One (A150), running XP, using a serial/usb adapter and the windows version of camera connection software.
Connect the old HDD (external case) to the iBook and boot from it. Use Disk Utility to re-partition the SSD, and then use CCC, or similar, to clone the HDD to the SSD.
New iOS for phones . . . . . . . New OSX for Macs . . . . . .
Now it's the turn of the venerable Apple][ line to feel the new OS love. Announcing the new and improved PRODOS 2.4

Last series of the G5 PowerMacs (11,2) are air cooled with PCIe, and is my preferred G5 beast. I picked up a Dual Core 2.0 (http://www.everymac.com/systems/apple/powermac_g5/specs/powermac_g5_dual_2.0.html) cheap, and it is doing most of what I used to do on my venerable QS2002, except of...
