  • Working on this beauty Macintosh LC 630 now. Just got the PSU to run and finally was able to test the main board that I recapped with tantalum capacitors.

    The hard drive sounded like damaged but during power-cycles it continuously improved.
    Connected to another machine, the drive looked quite alive and with every next test its performance improved magically.

    After badsectors reported 0, I simply DD'ed a disk image that I made (clean install Mac OS 8.1) earlier on Basilisk.

    Voila!

    I discovered that the OEM keyboard and mouse are increasingly expensive to obtain.
    tishtrio firmware seems great PS/2 to ADB convertor and I am now making a PCB for it.
