The Quicksilver'02 is acting up a bit and a fresh PRAM battery didn't do the trick.

Date & Time settings are retained, but Monitors: Arrange setting are defaulting to secondary monitor on right of main display every time I power up. Behavior persists upon a hot system restart as well.

Whazzup with that?

That is odd. Do you also have OS X installed? Can't hurt to see if it persists there as well. It will help you know if it is A hardware issue.

I've got the first release of X on one of the drives, I'll have to check that out. Tried it, didn't like it, none of my apps really needed an upgrade and some would never get one (hardkeyed CAD/CAM) so I've stuck to 9.2.2 ever since. It'll take a little figuring, but I'll sort that out and report.

I had the SAME issue with mine! It was a sawtooth with a Radeon 7000 series. Download the drivers and see what happens depending on what card you have.

The bug's documented now. I think I'll just move my desk around so I don't have to deal with it  .  .  .

.  .  .  it's a feature!

I don't think the Geforce in my Quicksilver is currently suffering from the can't remember orientation problem. What VidCard do you have jt?

Dunno if it could be the VidCard. There was no problem for quite a while, the all of a sudden it cropped up.

I'm likely rearranging my workstation setup over the weekend so I can use the 14 inch 1080p IPS LCD on a new, dedicated, quarantined FireFoxStation in dual screen mode. That'll put the QS02's 1280x1024 Menu screen in the little bat rastard's  preferred side of the 1600x1200 main screen. Remembering arrangements for multiple workspaces has been something the Mac has been doing since Apple copied the revolutionary multiple workspace innovation of the Radius Full Page Display (see left [;)] ]'>) and wrote the Monitor's Control Panel's predecessor for the Macintosh II.

By adding a second screen to the PC side of the KVM setup, this problem will automagically disappear. [:)] ]'>

Again, had this same problem with mine after I reinstalled the OS... Worked perfectly until then and sometimes it would only boot with the second display... it was drivers.

Just sayin before ya go trying to fix something! :) might not be drivers, but it sure sounds like it.

Not touchin' nuthin' nohow! Gonna rearrange things a bit in downtime while plaster molds are hardening and ABS plumbing fittings are dissolving into icky goop for some quality playtime over the weekend. [:D] ]'>
