Anyone know what this is for? It came in Mac lot I bought. I think it has IDE connector.

Oh cool. So you know if it is plug and play in mac? I tried searching and nothing came up.

Pretty much, though some IDE chipsets have issues with them. It doesn't need any config or drivers though; it'll either work or it won't.
