Quadra 660 sound question

I noticed my some of my alert sounds sound broken through main speaker, but play fine through headphones. I cleaned up the whole area really well. Is the singer chip responsible for sound on these models. Will try a different speaker tomorrow and see.

Its probably a failing speaker, I'd guess.

Make sure the replacement speaker has the same impedance - mac speakers had weird impedances and were different in many models.
