I had 815-1690.stl and 815-1690_eject.stl printed on ABS to see how well it would fit first. I may sand this one down and paint it, or just get it reprinted with resin for a smoother finish (which I'm sure I'd have to sand anyway). I didn't install the eject button yet but will do so once I've sanded and painted. I actually bought a WGS 8550 (the server cousin of the PM 8500) just for the CD bezel (since my 9500 has lacked one since I got it in 2012), but it's really awesome that the community can fabricate parts for itself now! Such a great way to keep these machines alive for years to come. Thats epic, great job guys

Swolfington
Posted this the other day in the thread specifically asking for one, but it should probably go here too. The quadra 800/840av PM8100/8500/9500 floppy bezel: There is one caveat: I haven't actually printed it and tried it on a real life computer, because all my floppy bezels are still intact and I am worried/pretty sure i'd end up breaking it if I tried to take it off. So for now, printer beware. I have no reason to believe it wont work just fine, but you never know. If anyone wants to be the guinea pig, please let me know how it goes! 815-1521 floppy bezel.stl

I had one made via ShapeWays (Man I have to get a 3D printer.). I just did a fit test today, without the other bezels installed, on a PM8100. I am happy to report it seems to fit perfectly. Awesome job! Thanks! Edited July 2, 2019 by Zippy Zapp
Swolfington
@Zippy Zapp that is awesome! I'm so glad it works. Would it be possible to post a picture of it? I'd love to see how it turned out.
MarNo84
Hi friends silly question... does someone already modeled the Color Classic front badge/logo? I really would like to print me a personalized insert logo for my Mystic & Takky upgrades .. I don't want to repaint or destroy their originals. I can print these myself (but I'm way too noob on free hand modeling) - got an small but awesome Prusa i3 for this job just yesterday I printed me a first try backbezel for my Mystic - not bad for the first time bezel print. ...sad (stupid) thing only was the finishing process with a cutter went wrong just cut myself Thanks Marcus Edited August 9, 2019 by MarNo84

If you can get pictures all around the badge by itself (maybe scan the edge on a flat bed scanner, if possible, to capture the outside curvature), I could give it a shot. We'd need to measure all the bits with with a caliper as well, but it doesn't look overly complicated.

MarNo84
Hi, sadly I couldn't find my fine measurement tools I just tried my best on some pictures maybe someone also has a CC and could make it much better than I did
davidg5678
Would it be possible to design 3D printed plastic CRT Adjustment Tools for use inside Macintosh CRTs? It is getting harder to find these toolkits online, and they just seem to be specially shaped pieces of plastic. Is there anything special about the tools, or would normal PLA plastic be safe to stick into an Analog Board?
Byrd
Anything that isn’t metal will do - just fabricate your own from wooden skewers, plastic rod.
Crutch
I find a wooden chopstick works well. Whistle down one end slightly with a knife or scissors blade. It’s easy.

I've actually been working on one on-and-off for the past week since I have a couple of machines that need a new one, but this one looks to be pretty accurate
koraxcz
Does anyone have a printable model of the CD eject button for Performa 5200? I have a one in a nice shape, but the front bezel is missing the button.

Daniël Oosterhuis
Has anyone done feet and/or bezels for the PowerMac 6100 and its brethren? Just picked up a 6100 for cheap that's in a bit of a sorry state, and it's missing the front bezel/cover and one of its feet. This one won't ever be mint, but I'd love to cover up the whole and not have it wobble. The metal shields underneath the front covers were completely corroded from some gunk, so it'll be a gaping hole in the middle of the machine for now!
jessenator
Not 3d printed, but Maceffects is already on top of the 610/61xx feet (injection molded): I haven't seen drive bezels for anything beyond the 9xx and 8xx series Quadras.
Daniël Oosterhuis
Those do look really good, but they'll probably be outside of the price range I'd want to spend on them. This is an ugly 6100 that I got for cheap, so I'd be content with ugly but functional and cheapo feet. I might just try making a silicone mold out of one of them and just trying my hand at casting some feet.

No worries, these are probably a better fit for his machine as they are pre-owned and have that "used" look which would make the fact that one foot is different less noticeable.
