  1. I recently acquired a very strange Apple ][ Plus (let's just say the motherboard and power supply are the only original parts). It seems to start up fine (so far I've only tested it with all the cards removed), but many actions will cause it to crash to the monitor or get stuck printing "?FORMULA TOO COMPLEX". I'm suspecting there's something wrong in either the RAM or the ROM, but I haven't been able to play around with it much due to an injury. I have a feeling I'm going to have to lug out my IIgs to make a diagnostic disk using ADTPro, but that's assuming the disk ca
  2. Good afternoon (for me), I decided to write this thread apart from the other one about this device because I don't want to divert the attention from the main thread. So to put you in situation, I have a Macintosh Plus with an Apple 20SC HD that originally came with a 20MB MiniScribe drive. I love the sound of that hard drive and I'm looking to get it back. The original drive has mechanical problems and stopped working many years ago, but I thought the logic board was working. This drives are surprisingly expensive nowadays, so I found this one on Ebay and thought t
  3. Hi, I've just brought my Apple SilenType printer back to life yesterday, hooked up on my Apple II Europlus. Amazing it still prints. There is just one problem: it won't move the print roll. So lines are printed on top of each other. I suspect a defective electric motor on the print roll rod. Does anybody here know what the problem could be?

  7. Anyone seen this and/or tried it out? It's a board that goes into the Apple II Slot to add a Raspberry Pi to it, done around 2013.... 8. Looking for my Apple II Tech Manuals, I found an old box from Apple labeled "Apple IIgs Memory Expansion Card." It gives the IIgs 1MB of RAM. Nice right? But that was not in the box. Instead, besides bits and pieces, there were 3 complete Apple II/II+/IIe RAM Expansion cards. Two are RAMFACTOR by Applied Technologies and have a ROM on it and the third says "Super Expander +" and has no ROM on it. Each board is populated with 32 41256 RAM Chips, giving 1MB of RAM for each card. ProDOS will recognize the Applied Technology cards and set them up as RAM Disks and other things as needed. Th
