I've had several PhoneNet adapters in my collection for many years but never used them since my SE/30 has an Ethernet card. But today I was thinking about multiplayer games like MazeWars which might be fun for myself and my two kids. I have a Mac 512k (64k ROMs) and a PhoneNet adapter for it (including terminating resistor), and I also have two Farallon PhoneNet adapters with round connectors for use with more modern Compact Macs like the SE/30 shown here: I am running System 6.0.8 and System 7.1 and 7.5.5 on my two SE/30's, and I have pre-System6 operating systems o

Gamer choosing betwen 10.4.11 & 10.5.8
winterlight posted a topic in G3/G4/G5 Power Mac, iMac & eMac
Hi guys, Here's a scenario that only the experienced gurus of the Mac Liberation Army can answer. I'm using a Quad core G5 for games that span the old Mac Classic all the way to Mac OS (10.4-ish) I'm stuck between two setups for the G5: 1 - Mac OS 10.4.11 using Classic mode and playing games that only support up to 10.4 2 - Mac OS 10.5.8 supplemented with Mini V Mac and Sheepsaver to play all games up to Mac OS 9.01 and then OS 10.5.8 for the rest I've been told that OS 10.5.8 has some optimizations for the G5 that 10.4.11 doesn't BUT I've also been told that the- 17 replies

Hi Everyone, A while back (maybe the past few months), there was a thread on games that worked well with the stock resolution on a Color Classic. In that thread was a post with a good 15 to 20 games listed. Can anyone link that thread? I'm having trouble finding it. Also, feel free to add any other games to this list Thanks, just.in.time

Hi guys, So there are some games that I want to run from MacIntosh Garden which need Mac OS 9. (Marathon in particular, anything in color) I've been looking around to see what my options are. There are a few but being so new to Mac I can't figure out which is the best one. So I need your help guys. Any feedback would be appreciated. Here are the options that I can see: 1 - Run SheepShaver on my iBook G4 to get Mac OS 9 going. I'm not sure how well the games will run considering the iBook specs 2 - Run Mac OS natively(?) on this iBook G4 ( not sure if this is even po

I went to the Goodwill thrift shop in Columbus, NE when seeing a friend I made at Anime Nebraskon, and my wife and I found several things we wanted. I got several games including Oddworld (PS1 game), and several PC games, but I got a perfect in box (maybe installed once?) Diablo II BattleChest with LOD: Expansion pack and keys and strategy Guide. I also found a CD copy of Sim City 3000 for the Mac. I didn't know it was for Mac OS until I got it home and went to install it on Windows 98 SE. Is this rare? I looked on eBay and can't find a single copy of Sim City 3000 for Mac OS. I only foun
