After going on a "relive my childhood with machines no one would give a kid" eBay buying binge in college, I'm finally sorting out the collection. This was around 2009 and I'm happy to say, I think the retrocomputing society is in a better place with community, repairs, and upgrades than we were then. I'm glad I waited so long to work on these. Contemporary computers in their slim state of proprietary adhesion are incredibly dull. Flashy yes, but soulless. Anyone remember the sleek city apartment appliance scene from The Brave Little Toaster? Yep, that's the personality that I associate with the new MacPro.
I like my computers platinum, my alert sound anatidae, and my operating system below 10.
Ha, well that was fun to write. Does anyone read these?
