  1. The site with the "CD2" is impossible to order from. I can't friggin figure it out...
  2. "CD1" will not work in the iMac because of it's dependence on a normal PC power supply. "CD2" might work. I'll try to order it and see if I blow up my iMac in the process. I'll keep all you in the thread updated on that. All those Amazon links (not the ebay one) won't fit in the iMac either for the same reason as "CD1". That eBay link might, but it's been sold.
  3. And this old Performa keeps freezing and crashing instead of telling me the problem.
  4. Not in my case. The problem here was that there was a Recovery Partition with a blessed but empty system folder. I forgot about ALT.
  5. The title has been successful except for 2 things. 1. I'm not sure how to unscrew the CD drive from the iMac. It looks like I have to unscrew it from both sides, but there's no way to get to the other side, because of this circuit: (thx, imgbb) 2. The laptop-drive to IDE(?) adapter isn't very useful You know how iMac slot loaders use laptop drives? (Yes, I bought a SuperDrive meant for the G3, not any other computer.) Well, I tried to use the adapter for the CD drive that came with the iMac. One problem... THE FRICCIN ADAPTER GOES ON BACKWARDS. I would buy another one, but
  6. People use these as house heaters, don't they? I'm seriously sweating a lot rn.
  7. I'm a fucking idiot. But, I've gotten somewhere. The External Optical Drive causes the freeze on the OPTION menu, so with that, I was able to boot to Nirvana Soup to the user "user" with the password "password'. Super secure. But anyway, why it Kernel Panics is because eDrive (the partition it boots to) does not have a library folder, hence the crash. So, now I get to put the disk in the drive that I didn't notice *facepalm* EDIT: I also just remembered, I was able to get my iMac G3 to boot from a USB optical drive before. What?
  8. I got a eMac recently, but there's a problem. 1. There's a unbootable version of OS X on it (it Kernel Panics on boot) 2. It has no Optical Drive (no duh) 3. When I plug in a USB Optical Drive, the eMac won't boot from it 4. The OPTION menu has the cursor stuck on loading forever (been sitting there waiting for over an hour) 5. There are two OS X partitions? Any help?
  9. But, to "activate" the game I have to enter a code and Micheal gave me the wrong code. I didn't say Macintosh Garden was a Pirate site. There aren't any Cracks to activate munchies on there, so no piracy.
  10. I bought Munchies from Micheal Fan by mail order near the end of summer 2016, then I didn't get it until a month later. When I did get it, the key didn't work. I then proceeded to ask him for a different key and he told me to type it exactly. But, I typed it exactly before. I sent him a picture of my iMac G3's screen of how it DIDN'T WORK and then he ignored me and wouldn't give me another key. Can anyone help? I don't want to resort to piracy, and I don't even think there are cracked versions of Munchies that exist. Also, BTW, I did try other versions of Munchies.
  11. Sorry for the SEVEN OR EIGHT MONTHS of not looking at 68kmla. I don't really use that Quadra anymore. It has OS 9.2 on it at the moment. I have a iMac G3 now, which is way better. Because it can run OS 9 and OS X 10.4. yay

  15. While the Mac starts up, I can tell you that 1. I cannot boot from the 7.5 disk 2. I cannot boot from the 9.x disk and then take it out and put in the 7.5 disk to start installing (won't even give me a 'feed me' loop, as in 'Please put in the disk x', then 'Please put in the disk y' looping) 3. I cannot boot from the 8.0- ( Hi! Also stop this madness > FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU
  16. Okay, it turns out that System 7.5 CD does not boot. ( AARGH MY [C] KEY > UUUGHHHHHHH ( UUUUGGHHHHHH > GODDAMNIT ( H-H-H-H-H-H-H-H > *clicks power strip switch off and on* *BING* ( vvvvVVVVV >
  17. OK! BIG UPDATE It was because I was trying to install a fresh 9.1 instead of 9.0. It installed fine (no fatal errors), but the problem is that the Mac doesn't want to boot to the hard disk. I'll try System 7.5.5 now, I'll also see if the 7.5 or 8.x disk is even bootable. As far as I know 8.x isn't bootable. I'll see what I can do. ( HELP MEEEE!!! HE DOESN'T KNOW WHAT HE'S DOINGGG > !]'> Shut up! Next time i'm not installing Macintalk...
  18. I bought it from Craigslist and when I turned it on it was running Mac OS 9.1!
  19. O.K. I have confirmed that it IS a 638CD that CAN run 9.1 somehow.
  20. OMG let me look @ my model # again...
