    • Nice, I wonder how that might work out for the 1400 bay?   Charadis, I don't see a pic of an interface board on the back of the drive? If there is one, is it interchangeable with the CD-ROM adapter plate? If so a hybrid CD/FDD/MO kluge might work?
    • Hi, I searched but couldn't find this info so I'm asking here. The RAM chips on my logic board seem stuck. Is there something special about removing them (and the ROM)? Hmm after review, I see I should have put this in the lounge. Sorry.
    • The voltages (5 and 12V) are to low! You could try to adjust the voltages with pp1. Sometimes the poti has some contact problems. But you have to look for the voltages for some minutes. they should be constant. If not, you have another problem on the board. If you get 4.85 V the classic will chime. The fuse must be ok, because you can measure other voltages than 0V. Look at the power connector on the board. Sometime the solder is broken. Reflow it. Excuse my english, I am from germany... • The noctua is definitely quiet on full speed. I got it because other fans were so loud.
    • If they made a Syquest drive for the 1400, you might be able to transplant an MO drive into it from a different module.  I've found that the MO drives are fairly interchangeable with anything Syquest (even their OEM cases.)
