Well, as everyone who's been to 68k Conquests lately knows, i have recently finished construction of my PowerBook 170. However, it is showing one sign of weirdness. If i put the battery in (it is fully charged), and disconnect the power adapter, the screen will go blank, start flashing a lot of horizontal lines, and i'll get this bad-static-sound-which-does-not-sound-very-good. Do I need a new battery, or do i just need to reset the power manager or something? How do i reset the power manager, anyway?

Thanks in advance.

Have you tried starting from the battery? I'm just offering a suggestion, any powerbook beginning with '1' means nothing to me!
