Last night I burned two audo CD's on my Quadra 840av. In the process of doing so, I quickly learned that you should always keep the default 2 second gap between tracks when using a Yamaha CDR400. I thought it was only older, 2-speed burners that had this problem? Nope, I tried burning one of the two CD's with no gap between tracks and it got FUBAR. The other CD, which I left with a 2 sec gap, came out fine. Not to worry, though, I still hav about 104 Taiyo Yuden blank CD's left in the closet!

Oh, and in case you're wondering, here's what I was burning...

Disk one, the one with no gaps between songs and subsequent issues:

01 - "Samba" by Faze Action
02 - "In Effect" by Le Gooster
03 - "Waterbaby" by Sneaker Pimps and Portishead
04 - "Sonar Blowjob" by Portishead and Kraftwerk
05 - "Moving Cities" by Faze Action
06 - "Proletariat" by Portishead and U.N.K.L.E.
07 - "Satan's Church of Hypnotized Login" by Bill Laswell and Medeski & Martin
08 - "Plastique" by Plastikman
09 - "Elements" by Le Gooster
10 - "Space Disco" by Faze Action
11 - "Black Lotus" by Bill Laswell and Spirit of India
12 - "Koma" by Plastikman

The other disc was 10 songs all done by Lemon Jelly, and that one came out perfect.

Cine,

How much do you want for a copy of disk one? Do you take pay-pal?

I'm not one for music piracy, but this sounds like a great way to try some interesting sounding toons/bands in one swoop.

RIAA has its head so far up where the sun don't shine on this issue! i've never heard of any of those bannds and i'll bet i never will again. it should be the RIAL(eeches)A, if their scam is a symbiotic relationship with the artists i'll eat one of my vinyl albums (and (it'll have been the first one i will have ripped before doing so at that time, btw) hey cine, ya got the transfer utility that goes with the one i sent ya?

Sure, I can take PayPal. How does $1 plus shipping sound? That's what I always used to sell my mix-CDs for. I actually have to work out some kinks because some of the songs are incomplete (of course I only figured this out after I burned it) and I may have to drop one of them to fit the missing minutes. Oh and, since I didn't rip these myself, I think the latter issue is intrinsic.

It's actually one of my favorites! It's also one of the incomplete tracks, though. Have to find the rest of it. Definitely not what you think, though, there's no lyrics. In fact, only one of the songs on the entire CD has any real lyrics. I'm really into instrumental stuff..
