Yesterday I wrote a post which none of you read cos my computer would'nt let me post it!!!!!!!!

I have decided on an apple mac quadra coming off the back of Atari st and chose it because it is the fastes 68k based mac. I need this for running MagicMac, an o.s which is 68k optimized.

I would have to say that I prefer Magic as it is more like Gem than the Apple o.s. But the Apple o.s is probably a more complete o.s.

Does anyone want to have a go at writing an Apple Mac Quadra 68k optimised o.s?????????????? lol yes you do, I know you do but who has the talent and the time?

If someone took on this task it would likley mean letting us upgrade to the 68060. The 68060 from what I have heard is probably twice as good as the 68040(not twice the speed) and would certainly give us a better chance of keeping up with the big boys.

the Mac's ROM is not compatible with the 68060
